At-Tib al-Muluki - Abi Bakr ar-Razi (Rhazes)

الطب الملوكي - أبو بكر الرازي

This book (The Royal medicine) was written by one of the most prominent Arab scholars of medicine, Abu Bakr Ar-Razi (Rhazes in latin), the Arab doctor, who was one of the most important and first of those who innovated, composed and classified Arab medicine, and taught this great science.

He was one of those who wrote in Arabic during the period of Islamic creativity in all sciences, throughout the glory days of the Abbasid Caliphate, in a particular period marked by transcription and translation from other civilizations, such as the Persian, the Greek, the Coptic, and others; and he is among those who remained loyal to authenticity and originality.

Ar-Razi wrote this book to treat all diseases with food, or to put indispensable medicines in food, to conceal its taste, and then he re-mentioned the diseases and what food can either be beneficial or harmful to them.

It is rare to see such exceptional compilation among the literature of our time. It is, in fact, suitable for every time and place, regardless of the development of the medical science it contains.

Édition très sérieuse, vérifiée et annotée par le Dr Yassir Zakour.
