Regarding Hadeeth "My wife does not prevent the hand of a man who touches her"

Here are two Risalahs, one from Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani and the other from Ibn Abdelhadi, about a controversial hadith where a person who came to the Prophet salallahu 'aleyhi wa sallam and said: "My wife does not prevent the hand of a man who touches her." So he said salallahu 'aleyhi wa sallam: "divorce her." [...] (Abu Dawood 2044-2049).

There are big differences on the meaning of the hadith but also on its authenticity because one group of scholars accepts it and another refuses it. The Muhaqqiq of these two Risalahs makes the point in the introduction on this subject which is very useful for the reader.
