This is one of the most important Hanafi jurisprudence books, written by the Hanafi jurist Burhan ad-Din Al-Marghinani. It is an explanation of his other book “Bidayat Al-Mubtadi’”, which is considered an essential text in Hanafi School of Fiqh.
Haji Khalifa said in his book “Kashf ad-Dhunun”: “It is an explanation of a matn (text) he called “Bidayat al-Mubtadi’” but it is in fact like the explanation of Mukhtasar al-Qudduri and Al-Jami’ as-Saghir of Muhammad, and it is his custom to edit the two imams’ speeches from the claimant and the evidence, then liberate the claimant of the great imam (Abu Haneefa) and simplify his evidence so that the answer comes out from their evidence. However, if his editing was contrary to this custom, then it is perceived as a tendency to what the two imams claimed and the task of explaining the issues of “Al-Jami’ As-Saghir” and “Mukhtasar al-Qaduri”.
