"In this book I have talked about the mother and her beating heart, the father and his overflowing tenderness, the teacher and his kindness towards his disciples, the brothers who share the soul, the beats, the dreams and the thoughts, and the friend whose existence embodies life. I have also spoken about the noble word and the word inhabited by evil; about gallantry and about the kindness with which peoples’ hearts are filled. I have also mentioned something about the diseases of the soul and the hearts’ medications.

In this book, I did not come up with peculiar things, nor did I seek wonders, or search for strange and rare stuff. Rather, I have tried to look at and contemplate the same scenes that everyone sees, but I have used another lens, which is a purely subjective lens, bearing my own colours and my modest experience. I have come up with the usual and well-known, and then I reproduced it and formulated it by either setting an example or adding further clarification."
