Al-Ijaz fi Qiraa’at Al-A’immah as-Sab’ah bil-Iraq wa-Sham wal-Hijaz, by Imam Sabt Al-Khayyat.

This book was written by the Sheikh of Iraq, who mastered the Quranic readings in his time, Imam Sibt Al-Khayyat (d. 541 AH).

Sibt Al-Khayyat has several books on Qur’an recitations, which Imam Ibn Al-Jazari (d. 833 AH) relied on as a documented basis in authoring his book “an-Nashr fil Qira’at Al-‘Ashr”, including this book “Al-Ijaz”. This book was deemed lost, as there was no known written copy of it, until Allah Almighty, by His Grace, has helped me find a valuable copy, dating back to the year 530 AH, which means that it was written in the life of the author.

The Muhaqqiq, Shaykh Ayman Suwayd said: "It is a complete copy, All Praise to Allah. I have thoroughly analysed it and studied it in the manner followed in university postgraduate studies. I have made it accessible to the students of the Holy Qur’an and its sciences. May Allah benefit everyone who received it with a sound heart."
