The Poetry of pre and post Islamic era and the effects of Islam in it: Yahya Juburi
The book discusses the phase of collision between two cultures, an inherited pre-Islamic culture that extends towards the unknowns of history, and a new culture that carries a project to change not only the social and moral systems, but the structure of spirit and intellect, or rather the individual himself.
In the midst of this collision, each of the two cultures had to mix and interact at the same stage, especially since the past had its historical justification and the hadith had its religious and human justification. And since it was difficult or even impossible for a person to steer away from his past, a new culture had to be born in which these two cultures drew each other. It is this culture of the poets who had lived in both pre and post Islamic era that is the subject of this book.
This is a reprint of this unique and important work in the field of Arabic poetry.
