Consensus in the Interpretation of at-Tabari - Dr. Abdullah Ibn Sulayman al-Lahim

This research looks at the level of consensus in the interpretation of Imam Muhammad Ibn Jarir at-Tabari (died 310 AH). One of the most fundamental things that interpreters must understand is the concept of consensus.

This is because consensus in interpretation assumed a place among the sciences related to interpretation; as it conveys the Word of Allah, Almighty, on the correct meanings, and by it reassurance is achieved in the unanimous meanings, and through it interpretation is protected from abnormal and reprehensible interpretations.

These research produced accurate scientific findings that clearly demonstrate At-Tabari's position on the unanimous inference in his Interpretation.
