At-Tafsir Al-Muqaran - Mahmud Aqil Ma'ruf Al-'Ani

This book is a solemn effort to establish the foundation of one of the categories of Tafsir (interpretation), as it is unmatched in methodology and comprehensiveness. Indeed, the author presented a comprehensive scientific study of the methodology of comparative interpretation and its methods of research. So he established it on two inseparable foundations between originality and application.

The originalist side dealt with establishing the concept of comparative interpretation, its origins, importance, connection to other types of interpretation, along with an explanation of the causes and type of difference in it; and how to achieve its controls and principles upon which it is based and distinguished for this art. The applied side included a scientific study and interesting practical models of comparative interpretation between the sayings of the interpreters and their methods and trends, which open many ways in the methodology of comparative research in interpretation and its methods, in terms of extrapolation, balancing, investigation, analysis and giving preponderance, to help us reach the best and most appropriate comprehensive meaning.
