It is important to know that the author, the great Moroccan Salafi Sheikh, Taqi ed-Din al-Hilali was himself a Tijani and that he repented. This makes his book all the more relevant, as the Sheikh speaks about his experiences and the words and deeds he practiced.
In this book, he discusses the different Sufi sects and practices present in the Hijaz (the Arabian Peninsula) and the Maghreb (North Africa) and the consequences that this had on the development of these regions and religious practices
The book is not strictly speaking written by Sheikh Taqi ad-Din al-Hilali but rather is a work of research and classification of his words taken from various sources and gathered around the theme presented here.
