The book “Jaami’ as-Saheehayn” was distinguished by its combination of the two authentic Hadith books of Al-Bukhari and Muslim in one abridged volume, containing a total of 2,970 hadiths in 984 pages. It included most of their attributed Hadiths, with the deletion of the repeated ones. The Hadith testimonies were summarised, with the deletion of their chains of transmission, keeping only the comprehensive words, unless there is more benefit in others.
The author has arranged the Hadiths in terms of the abrogating and abrogated, the absolute and the restricted, the general over the specific, the one with the order denoting the obligation, and the one that denotes the prohibition, and additions in the narrations, so as nothing in them can be missed as much as possible.
He has adopted the opinion of the majority in this compilation. Any agreed upon opinion was highlighted with the sign (خ م).
This book is a bestseller among students because of its format and methodology.
