The book Usul al-Fiqh according to the approach of Ahl as-Sunnah is one of the most important books whose apparent name indicates what is hidden between its pages and lines. This book aims to define the opinion of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah on some jurisprudential rules, in addition to knowing the scholars’ view of such issues. The title of this book denotes its content and the issues it deals with, hence discussing the principles of jurisprudence according to the approach of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama’ah.

This book is written by scholar and jurist Walid Ibn Rashid Al-Saeedan, and Dr. Muhammad Az-Zuhaili has revised and written the introduction of the book, in a critical and analytical way that proves its merit and value. It is one of the most important books that were published in the prestigious and elegant Dar Al-Qalam library in Damascus, Syria. The book consists of four main Volumes and is based on a question and answer basis, which is the preferred method for many people. Al-Saeedan has presented many jurisprudential issues in the form of question and answer so that understanding and comprehension would be easier and faster, and so that the book would be welcomed by people.
