“At-Tafsir Al-Mawdu’i li-Suwar al-Qur’an al-Azim” is written by Abd Al-Hamid Mahmud Tahmaaz and it is in Eight Volume boxed set. It contains an explanation (Tafsir) of all the Surahs of the Qur’an in a distinct scientific approach. It is one of the finest books of contemporary Tafsirs. It is a Tafsir that benefits the general intellectuals, Du’at and students. It contains useful knowledge, links the Verses to the contemporary needs of Muslims, correct misconceptions and also guidelines for strong faith and behaviour, in an easy style and avoidance of difficult specialized terms.
The author gathered the 'Ilm of dozens of Exegesis (ancient and modern) to extract the meaning and the objective of the verses and the stories of the Quran. He mention the sources in footnotes.
This book is part of a separate new type of Science of Qur’an Interpretation (Ulum al-Qur’an); however, it has ancient evidence and previous objectives. It appeared recently, and is meant to interpret the Holy Qur’an through its many topics tackled by the Verses. In a brief and abbreviated definition, it is a discipline that deals with issues according to the Qur’anic objectives, through one or more Surahs. To clarify this type of Tafsir, it is like talking about a particular issue by mentioning the Verses that have dealt with this topic or issue.
