Tarikh at-Tadwin fi Usul ad-Din - Tariq ibn Said al-Qahtani

An excellent book demonstrating the chronology of books dealing with Usul ad-Din, i.e. the Aqidah.

The author lists 141 books from the early centuries to the present day (the last one cited being Hafidh al-Hakami's A'lam as-Sunnah al-Manshurah).

Each book listed is the subject of a small sheet summarizing the subjects dealt with, the particularities, and sometimes the reasons for writing.

A real little encyclopaedia of the most famous books in defence of the Sunnah and Islamic belief.
