“Al-Muqni’ fil Fiqh” (The Conclusive in Islamic Jurisprudence of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal)
The book " Al-Muqni’ fi Fiqh of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal", also simply called "Al-Muqni'", is a jurisprudential book written by Al-Hafiz ibn Qudamah (541 AH - 620 AH), and it is a book on the jurisprudence of Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal. In writing his book, the author relied on his moderate style when referring to the sayings and evidence with both long and short statements to facilitate its memorization and comprehension.
Al-Hafiz Ibn Qudamah said in the introduction to his book “Al-Muqni’”:
This is a book on jurisprudence on the doctrine of Imam Abu Abdullah Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Hanbal Al-Shaybani, may Allah be pleased with him. I worked hard to compile it and arrange it, to make it brief and approximate, in moderation between the short and the long style. I have collected most of the rulings without mentioning their evidence and justification, in order to increase its knowledge, reduce its size, and facilitate its memorization and understanding; it will be conclusive for those who memorise it and useful for its analyser. We turn to Almighty Allah to help us achieve our hope, correct our words and deeds, and make our striving close to Him, and beneficial in His Mercy.
