Al-Faqih wal-Mutafaqqih - al-Khatib al-Baghdadi

A huge book Al-Hafidh al-Khatib al-Baghdadi, the fiqh and its foundations, but also on the qualities and characteristics of the lawyer.

The author has arranged this book on chapters and divided it into four sections, which are as follows: He dedicated the first section to the merits of jurisprudence and acquiring its science; in the second section, he discussed the topics of the principles of jurisprudence; in the third section, he dealt with the concept of opinion and debate upon the correct foundations and rules; as for the fourth and final section, he approached the topic of imitation and ijtihad, and the topic of the importance of the scholars and jurists, concluding with advice to the people of Hadith in particular and to others in general.

The book contains (1215) Hadith with a chain of transmission, including both marfoo’ and non- marfoo’.
