Mukhtasar at-Tahrir fi Usul al-Fiqh - Ibn an-Najar

This book is called “al-Kawkab al-Muneer” or “Mukhtasar at-Tahrir” by Ibn An-Najjar (d. 972H); it is an abridged version of the book “At-Tahrir” by Al-Mirdawi (d.885H).

The author said: “This is an abridgment that contains the issues of “editing the transmitted and refining the science of Islamic Jurisprudence” in Usul al-Fiqh. Sheikh Al-Mirdawi has brought together a collection of what was introduced or was the practice of most of our companions, without listing any statement or a second opinion except for a benefit that adds knowledge about any dispute, and without attributing a statement to its owner".
