Diwan ad-Du’afa’ wal-Matrukin - Imam Al-Dhahabi

Al-Kashif fi Ma'rifat man Lahu Riwayat fi Kutub Al-Sittat (Discovering cognition in those for whom there is narration in the Six Books) - Adh-Dhahabi
A book written by Imam Al-Hafiz Adh-Dhahabi, may Allah Almighty have mercy on him, and “Al-Kashif” suffices to be one of his works. Al-Kashif is the fourth in a series of books on this discipline, and it is more of a training and teaching manual than a reference book. The first book is the book of Al-Hafiz Al-Maqdisi, who died in the year (600 AH), who wrote “Al-Kamal fi Asma’ Al-Rijal”, then followed by Al-Hafiz Al-Mazzi, who died in the year (742 AH), and wrote “Tahdheeb Al-Kamaal”, then Al-Hafiz Adh-Dhahabi wrote the third book in the series and called it: “Tadhheeb Tahdheeb al-Kamal,” then he added the fourth, which is “Al-Kashif,” which is the fourth of the golden series.
The Imam took great care of his book, and the researcher, scholar Muhammad Awama - may Allah Almighty protect him - was not satisfied with this precious book, but rather added another masterpiece, and an invaluable gem, namely, "Haashiyat al-Imam Burhan ad-Din Sibt Ibn al-Aajmi al al-Kashif " (The footnote of al-Imam Burhan ad-Din, the grandson of Ibn al-Ajami on al-Kashif," and in his handwriting as well, so the two books became flaunting in a new look.
Therefore, it is a thrill and pleasure to give such books of these men who have bequeathed upon us a summary of their knowledge, which a student of knowledge, let alone others, cannot do without. So here is this masterpiece, which we ask Allah to reward them greatly for their good deeds.
