Risalatan fi as-Samaa' - An-Nawawi & Ibn Al 'Attar

Here are two Risala on the Sama '(listening). What is wanted here is prolonged listening to poesies, songs etc. (in some sort what is called anashid today - but not only).

It is a work especially loved by some in Sufism, but reject by many scholars of the Sunnah or even by some eminences Sufi.

Here are two epistles, one from Imam Ibn al-'Attar, and the other from his Sheikh, Imam an-Nawawi, both seeing the blame for this futile activity that can lead to moral depravity.
