Abaq wa Ayyam (Fragrant and Days) by Ali Ibn...

Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, presented a significant thesis on the criticism of Greek logic in his famous book “Ar-Radh ala Al-Mantiqiyyin” (Refutation of the Greek Logicians). This study aims to analyse the material of this book systematically and study the foundations on which it was based. It also tackles the most prominent objections made to Ibn Taymiyyah’s criticism of logic. Then, it seeks to bring the ideas of the aforesaid book closer to the student, and to abstract his ideas from repetition and digression, while reformulating them in an easier style and closer to the contemporary scientific mood, without prejudice to the book’s main purposes and benefits.
